Jessica Fraser (b. 1986 in El Paso, Texas) is an acrylic painter currently based in Denver, Colorado. Her love of art started at a very young age by filling notebooks and sketchbooks with her imagined creations. She received her Bachelor’s in Studio Arts with an emphasis in painting from the University of Colorado in 2009. During the following nine years that she spent in the Bay Area, she began to hone in on her style as an artist, participated in local markets and First Friday events, and embarked on a parallel career in makeup artistry until that eventually revealed her true desire to be, first and foremost, an artist and a painter.

Her current focus is building a body of work called Baby Jess: Art for the Young at Heart, which she began while living in Chicago. Baby Jess was initially a collection of children’s paintings she created inspired by her sketchbooks and drawings from when she was young. Currently, she is working on expanding the series to also include circular moon paintings and large dream-like landscapes as well as bringing her magical worlds into 3D art forms and books.

In 2020, Jessica’s artwork was exhibited in Chicago at Morpho Gallery and she was the featured artist at the Cornelia Arts Building in March. This year, she had a month-long show at Hooked on Colfax in Denver in February and she had a selection of her paintings in a six-month group exhibition at the Kowen Gallery in Westminster. Jessica continues to work with the gallery and is creating her own Munnies that will be represented there along with some new paintings. Her artwork was also recently published in Issue 1 of Clover and Bee, a digital magazine for the literary and visual arts.
